Kingston Arms - Atrim Type XIV Medieval Sword
Designed by Gus Trim, this early armor sword in the style of the 13". Century a very light forward balance, making it feel good in the hand and devastating in the cut. Based on Oakeshott's Type XIV specification, these swords were crafted in the 13. until early 14. Century in the transitional period from chain mail to full plate armor in the 15. worn in the century. This sword is therefore more oriented towards cutting than later swords, which were developed for thrusting. This combination of cutting and stabbing ability perfectly corresponds to the use of sword and shield or buckler of that time. The blade is made of hand-forged, 9260 spring steel, flat ground, and finished with a beautiful satin finish. The fittings are made of high-quality stainless steel, perfectly matching Gus' design. The handle is made of a solid wooden core wrapped with a textured leather cord. The scabbard is made of solid wood, with a stainless steel end cap and a stitched leather wrapping.
