Cold Steel - Knight Sword - Man-at-Arms Series
The medieval weapons squire. Krieger) was a brave, loyal fighter full of warrior heroism, who mastered a variety of weapons with great skill. He was a veteran of countless battles, often the first to charge into the fray, and although he was not a knight, he fought and trained alongside them as a comrade in arms. In honor of these rugged, dedicated foot soldiers, Cold Steel® has created the Man at Arms weapon collection. Compared to Cold Steel's® premium versions, these combat-ready weapons may lack the usual shiny blades and silver-polished steel elements, but in terms of quality and performance, the MAA series products come close to the other products. The fully sharpened, blued blades are characterized by their unmistakable gun-metal look, which harmonizes perfectly with the black handles. And when properly oiled, they reveal their inherent, radiant beauty. The Man at Arms collection offers a selection of some of the finest Cold Steel® blades, but at a significantly lower price. If you have always wanted to own a Cold Steel® edged weapon but have never been able to afford one, then this collection is perfect for you
The MAA Knight Sword is inspired by the favorite sidearm of many medieval foot or cavalry warriors. Inspired by hiking soldiers. On the battlefield, this double-edged, smaller blade was more agile than many of the heavier swords. It was light enough to be wielded with one hand, yet rigid enough to find its way through the unprotected gaps of a knight's armor or to pierce chainmail! Cold Steel's® interpretation of this lightning-fast combat sword has been crafted from expertly hardened carbon steel and then deeply blued for a deep black finish. With its forward-curved crossguard, textured leather grip, and pommel for weight balance, this knight sword is excellently balanced and looks stunning with its blued steel fittings!
The MAA Knight Sword comes with a hand-sewn black leather scabbard with steel chape and throat band.
1090 carbon steel
Carbon steel 1090 is an excellent choice for larger fixed blades. It is easy to sharpen and maintains this sharpness, yet remains tough enough to withstand even the most brutal stress tests. In short: a good all-purpose carbon steel that remains very durable even under heavy use
