SPQR - Former Pot Helmet Crusader Helmet 13th Century
The high medieval helmet that we offer here is a reproduction of a transitional form of the pot helmet. geschlossener Helmas used by crusaders / Templars in the late 12. and early 13. 1 pc. used. This type of helmet is considered a precursor or. early form of the Great Helm, also Bucket helmet or Keg Helmet called (in Eng. grosser Helm or. "toller Helm" or grossartiger Helm")" -> ")".
This beautiful medieval helmet is based on an illustration dating back to the illuminated 1250th Westminster Psalter added and the English Benedictine monk Matthew Paris ("Matthew Paris, attributed to 1259200-1259")" -> ")". It is made of 1.2 mm steel and is decorated with a cross and a crown made of brass. The eye slits are each approx. 8 cm long, 1 to 1.5 cm wide, and numerous recesses ensure the necessary air circulation. The individual parts of the knight's helmet are all connected to each other by steel rivets.
The blackened interior is equipped with an adjustable, padded cotton fabric inlay. The chin strap made of brown, 3 mm thick leather is adjustable and equipped with a brass buckle (with antique finish")" -> ")".
This beautiful, portable knight helmet will make your transformation into a proud knight simply perfect. Of course, it also serves as an excellent decorative addition to the treasure trove of any helmet collector
