After the great success and continued popularity of the Old Bear series in the style of traditional utility pocket knives, Antonini has released the same series in good old carbon steel for lovers of the original and authentic. When no chromium is added to the steel, it has the advantage of being very easy to resharpen. For this type of blade, no elaborate sharpening system or even the manufacturer needs to be involved. As in grandfather's time, the underside of a plate or the bottom of a stoneware grain bottle is enough to quickly restore a sharp working edge to the knife. With use, the blades gradually acquire the rustic gray patina that in turn provides a certain degree of rust protection.
