With the Ikusa (Japanese for "battle") sparring katana, we aim to fulfill this desire
The particularly flexible 9260 carbon spring steel is used as Kingen steel. Approximately. 55° Rockwell hardened steel is known to maintain its shape even under higher loads. Ideal for cutting tests and even blade contact during stage combat
- Robust, stable blade in Shinogi-Zukuri style without a groove (Bo-Hi)
- Rounded tip, as well as a blunt, wide sharpened striking edge for increased safety
- Handle wrapping made of black cotton in Katate-Maki style (battle wrap)
- Especially long-lasting fishing rod, secured with extra thick bamboo pegs (Mekugi)
- Black, matte lacquered scabbard with glossy black lacquer speckles (Kuroishime style)
- No plastic is used, only high-quality, authentic materials are used
- Blade collar (Habaki) and washers (Seppa) are made of brass
- The traditional handle wrapping is lined with genuine ray skin
- All decorative fittings (Tsuba, Fuchi, Menuki, Kashira) are made of metal
- Delivery includes a protective fabric cover and an attractive collector's box
- Each original John Lee sword comes with a seal and a certificate
