CRKT - Du Hoc Karambit

Designed by Austin McGlaun in Columbus, Georgia

Based on the heritage of an American hero. Half a century after his service, Forged by War® designer Austin McGlaun discovered that his late uncle won the Silver Star at Point Du Hoc. To honor his service, he designed this colossal fixed blade Karambit knife. With the help of Ryan Johnson from RMJ Tactical, it has been perfected as a mission-inspired eye-catcher from the top of the recurved blade to the thumb ring at the end of the handle

As part of the Forged By War® program, Austin's design combined with Ryan's expertise makes the Du Hoc™ a powerful tactical carrier. A mysterious 5" carbon steel, sharp at the tip and belly, is a reliable companion in a self-defense situation. A thumb ring proudly sits on the textured G110 handle for an unbreakable, traditional Karambit grip

A specially designed knife comes with a secure, adjustable sheath.

About the Forged By War® program

In the year 2013, Ryan Johnson from RMJ Tactical, designer of elite, military, and tactical tomahawks, approached CRKT® with the message that he had collaborated with a few combat veterans who had returned from war with varying degrees of post-traumatic stress (PTS)

To help them tackle their challenges, they have designed steel and forged it into custom tools. Based on their experience in combat situations, they have developed tools that they wished they had available on the battlefield

CRKT® cares deeply about our returning veterans, and we've found a way to give back to the community they've created. In 2016, we launched the Forged By War® program

These are ready-to-use tools developed by veterans, with a portion of the proceeds donated to the veterans' charity organization
