Cold Steel - Slock Master Hunter

Tim Wells spends more hours hunting than most of us do anything else. And if he has learned one thing, it is how important a good skinning knife is. Especially when you are hungry, soaked, and tired, with ice-cold hands.

The Slock Master Hunter is a Tim Wells special edition of Cold Steel's® Double Safe Hunter (Item No. CS-23JB, CS-23JC, and CS-23JE). It features Tim's signature red handle and is equipped with a specially designed drop-point blade (with a lot of belly) that is perfect for all outdoor activities.

Like the Double Safe, the Slock Master is an affordable yet powerful folding hunting knife with a blade made of 8Cr13MoV steel and a handle made of glass-reinforced nylon (GFN), which is thin and ergonomically comfortable, and equipped with a steel pocket clip. The knife's state-of-the-art rocker lock is doubly secured, making it extremely impact and shock resistant.

Stainless Steel 8Cr13MoV
8Cr13MoV has similar properties to AUS 8A and is a proven steel that is excellent for making working knives. In Cold Steels® own tests, this high-carbon stainless steel has proven to be tough and corrosion-resistant. Like AUS 8A, it exhibits good edge retention and is also easy to resharpen.
