Description
Cold Steel - Scottish Claymore
The Scottish broadsword, the famous and infamous weapon of the clan men from the Highlands, has a long, double-edged blade and a distinctive basket hilt. In the battlefields of the world, it has proven that when combined with Targe (buckler) and Dirk (dagger), it was able to face any opponent.
Cold Steel® did not miss the opportunity to develop its own version of this famous sword. The hand-forged, expertly tempered, and beautifully polished double-edged 1055 carbon steel blade is equipped with three fullers, and each of these swords would effortlessly pass the rigorous British Proof Test pass sword test. The basket is made of blued steel. The wooden handle is covered with ray skin and wrapped with wire. In addition, a leather-covered wooden scabbard with a belt loop and a blued steel mouthpiece is included
1055 carbon steel
The carbon content and the relatively low levels of other substances in this steel make it a very stable material that is free from the brittleness inherent in most higher-carbon steels. This steel is ideal for blades that require high impact resistance and is therefore often used for large fixed-blade knives, machetes, and swords
