Cold Steel - Chinese Butterfly Swords

(also called Schmetterlingsmesser) are absolutely iconic and incredibly popular among collectors and martial artists. Typically, these short swords are always used in pairs, but - cleverly disguised - they are carried stacked on top of each other to give the appearance of being just one sword in its sheath. Only when drawn can they be quickly separated and placed in each hand!

In Cold Steel's® interpretation of these classic weapons, the blades are approximately 38 cm long and 6,7 cm wide. The pronounced D-shaped guards end with a forward-curving quillon, allowing for better deflection or trapping of opposing weapons. The beautiful wooden handles are wrapped with braided silk cord, providing a secure and comfortable grip.
