The traditional handle, the white ray skin-like underlay, the menukis, and the two mekugis that secure the blade in the handle are just some of the strong features of this masterful sword. The hand-forged blade made of 1045 carbon steel is sharp and separated from the handle by the decoratively designed tsuba. The tsuba depicts two fighting samurai.
