Böker - Bicycle Race
Even before the Tour de France could establish itself as the most significant cycling race in the world, the former heroes on two wheels struggled over rough cobblestones, dusty gravel tracks, and sometimes short and sharp climbs. Steel frame, cotton jersey, casquette, only one gear but with a heroic mustache, were the usual equipment used to tackle the unforgiving 250 km of classic one-day races. From this nostalgic magic emerged the five monuments of cycling, which continue to inspire numerous cycling enthusiasts to this day. The first of these traditional one-day classics originated in Belgium and France before 1900, bringing fame and honor to the winners
Böker brings back a piece of history and presents the Böker Bicycle Race as a reissue of the razor released in 1900. The blade of the globally limited special edition model, limited to 300 units, depicts a classic cycling race in a picturesque landscape, following historical patterns. The elaborately restored and laser-etched design fills almost the entire blade, while the historical H. Boker & The blade movement is adorned with the Co logo
The 5/8 inch wide blade made of resilient carbon steel features a square head and embodies the versatility, durability, and straightforwardness of those classic bicycles that had to be equipped for all terrains with a fixed setup - the Böker Bicycle Race is no different when it comes to shaving. The noble satin finish and the one-sided serration round off the heroic profile of the razor. The bulbous handle made of black plastic is contemporary with two rivets made of nickel silver. Delivery with certificate of authenticity and historical packaging. Handcrafted in the Böker Knife Manufactory Solingen
