Our battle-ready replica of this Viking sword is based on a find at Torshov (Gjerdrum) in southern Norway. The handle area is classified as type H, which is approximately. 800-950 pcs. Chrome. was used and must have been very popular, as many finds attest to the widespread distribution of this type of sword hilt.
This sword is exclusively handcrafted. The straight, short crossguard and the typical pommel with a triangular crown are made of heat-treated, forgeable cast iron. The blade is full tang and hand-riveted at the pommel. The handle is wrapped with a leather strap. The blade is forged from high-quality spring steel and is approximately. 48 - 50 HRC hardened. It has a pronounced fuller, which gives the sword great elasticity and at the same time lightness. The blade tip and edges are dull and rounded
The sword comes with a very beautiful wooden-leather scabbard with a wooden loop as a belt strap (for max. "5 cm wide belt)."
