Dönges - Expert Fire Fixed

The two knives of the Dönges Expert series are specialized tools for tough and demanding rescue operations. Both knives feature scales made of red G10 with a secure Dönges honeycomb structure, blades made of sharp and rust-resistant steel D2, and a glass breaker. Both knives have multiple edges that are uncompromisingly designed for cutting ropes, straps, and clothing of injured persons. The Expert series consists of a folding knife with two blades and a fixed blade knife.

The only fixed-blade in the series features a double-edged blade. The underside is smoothly ground along its entire length. On the back, there is a serrated edge for fibrous materials. Behind the blade tip on the back, there is a belt cutter. The tip is designed as a blunt lever tip, but it is deliberately ground thin. This way, it can be driven into very narrow gaps with little force, such as the cracks of nailed-shut boxes or between the frame and door of jammed fuse boxes. The full-tang construction features pronounced guard elements, with the upper one designed as an integrated bottle opener. The knife has a secure, precise fit in the included Kydex sheath and can be additionally secured with a removable snap-button strap made of fiber-reinforced synthetic material. Optionally, the sheath can be attached to the equipment with a modular clip made of stainless steel or through the rivet-reinforced holes with cable ties.
