CRKT - Avant Pocket Knife
Designed by Eric Ochs in Sherwood, OR
Easy to transport. Built for tough use. The experienced eye can take a look at a knife and immediately recognize the work of a master. "The telltale sign": Simplicity. With its clean lines, subtle bronze details, and highly ergonomic design, the Avant™ pocket knife asserts its position at the top of the pack
When he's not being creative, designer Eric Ochs likes to capture views of his backyard in Oregon from over 8000 meters. He has climbed a handful of PNW volcanic peaks and channeled the power of endurance from these missions into his diligent designs. The proof lies in the flipper opening and the fast, smooth IKBS™, which uses a ball bearing system in the pivot point to deploy the blade in a flash. It is also equipped with a thumb disk for a more conscious, manual opening. Once unfolded, the Liner Lock secures the blade firmly without compromising easy one-handed operation. The carbon steel handles are compact and sit securely in the hand. To enhance the look, Ochs gave it a bronze pocket clip and a swivel joint detail, adding extra style points
- IKBS™ ball bearing system smoothly and quickly deploys the blade
- The satin-finished blade and the accents made of titanium nitride brass create an appealing look
- Carbon fiber grip panels in black web structure are stylish and lightweight
