Description
Cold Steel - Two Handed Gim Sword
In ancient China, this sword was usually reserved for only the strongest warriors, as it could weigh just under 3 kg at times! Its long, heavy blade could cut wide swaths through the enemy ranks and thus break through the defensive lines of the opposing soldiers, who were often equipped with shorter, lighter weapons. It was also perfect for defending tighter areas such as gates and corridors, provided there was enough space.
Cold Steel's® version is slightly lighter than some original specimens, allowing it to be wielded with one or two hands. The battle-tested blade is paired with a handguard and a pommel made of cast brass, adorned with intricate relief decoration. The beautiful wooden handle is wrapped with tightly braided cord.
A sheath made of rosewood completes the whole. It is decorated with decorative brass fittings held in the same style as the guard and pommel.
