Böker - Barlow Prime Hornbeam
The characteristic drop shape of the Barlow can be traced back to the English pocket knives of the 17. can be traced back to the 19th century, making it certainly one of the oldest models ever. The name of the classic is likely derived from a similarly named, enterprising knife producer from Sheffield, who began exporting the sturdy knives to North America around 1800. They immediately enjoyed great popularity there and so appeared at the end of the 19. In the history of the Böker Manufaktur, the first Barlow models also emerged in the 19th century
The newly interpreted Böker Barlow Prime is equipped with shorter bolsters and convinces with a blade made of nitrogen-alloyed N690. It is equipped with a modern, elongated false edge, the ease of use of the slip joint is increased by a 90 degree detent when opening and closing. The jaws and the tang are made of stainless steel, the handle scales are made of stabilized wood from local hornbeam
