Description
Böker - Barlow Prime EDC Green
The characteristic drop shape of the Barlow can be traced back to the English pocket knives of the 17. can be traced back to the 19th century, making it certainly one of the oldest models ever. The name of the classic is likely derived from a similarly named, enterprising knife producer from Sheffield, who began exporting the sturdy knives to North America around 1800. They immediately enjoyed great popularity there and so appeared at the end of the 19. In the history of the Böker Manufaktur, the first Barlow models also emerged in the 19th century
This integral construction version of the newly interpreted Böker Barlow Prime dispenses with the characteristic bolsters and instead features continuous, pleasantly contoured handle scales made of green canvas Micarta. The lightweight construction can completely do without additional metal liners. The blade is made from non-stainless carbon steel O1 and is finished with a special acid wash finish. It is equipped with a modern, elongated false edge and is opened with a nail nick. The ease of use of the slipjoint pocket knife is increased by a 90 degree detent when opening and closing. The decorative rivets are made of brass. With high-quality felt case for storage. Handcrafted in the Böker Knife Manufactory Solingen
