The Viking sword, or Carolingian sword, is a type of sword that was used in Western and Northern Europe during the early Middle Ages. The "Viking sword" developed from the Roman spatha and was used by the Franks during the Carolingian period (between 75911 and 911).
This sword was created entirely by hand. The guard and the typical three-cornered pommel are made of steel. The blade is full tang and hand-riveted at the pommel. The sword comes with a very beautiful wooden-leather scabbard with a wooden loop as a belt strap (for max. 5 cm wide belt. The scabbard has a richly decorated brass chape.
