Description
Samura - Waterstone Grit 1000
With this high-quality water stone from Samura, you can do the preliminary sharpening on fine blades and the finishing sharpening on coarser tools
When sanding, start with a coarse grit and then move on to a finer grit. Ideally, the successive grain sizes are each 2 to 3 time finer.
As a rough guide:
- For rough work - Grinding out nicks or when the tool is very dull, a stone with a grit size of 40020 to 400 is recommended
- For normal sharpening tasks, a stone with a grit of 700 to 2000 is the right choice
- To remove the fine burrs and polish the surfaces, use the grain sizes 3000 to 12000.
To prevent the stone from slipping off the work surface while sharpening, it comes with a non-slip holder.
