This classic bench stone has a medium density and is used for the initial sharpening stage. Approximately corresponds to the grain size 400 to 600. The Stone Bench Stone "Soft Arkansas" -> "Soft Arkansas" 6 has the dimensions 1550,8 x 50,8 x 12,7 mm, so it is half an inch thick

*As mentioned before, the stones are not measurable by grit, but to provide a rough orientation, one can indicate the equivalent of a synthetic stone with grit to better assess the sharpening performance of the Arkansas oil stone

ARKANSAS OIL STONES SHOULD NOT BE USED DRY OR WITH WATER!

The oil stones from RH Preyda are hand-cut in Hot Springs in the Ouachita Mountains/Arkansas, the only place in the world where these deposits are found.
