Description
Kingston Arms - Type XVIII Single Hand Knights Sword
This sword features the classic diamond cross-section of the Oakeshott Type XVIII specification, typical of the knight's arming sword and the 15. century. The stiff blade and the tip were used to find the small crevices, exposed gaps, and joints in plate armor. This required a sword capable of fast movements and precise tip control, far from the broader swords typically associated with the medieval knight. The Type XVIII is not a pure cutting sword, but has a slowly tapering point that also makes cutting against unarmored targets very effective. The blade is made of hand-forged, 9260 spring steel, flat ground, and finished with a beautiful satin finish. The fittings are made of high-quality stainless steel, perfectly matching Gus' design. The handle is made of a solid wooden core wrapped with a textured leather cord. The sheath is made of solid wood, with a stainless steel end cap and a stitched leather wrap
