Miyamoto Musashi is considered one of the most remarkable samurai in Japanese history and lived from 1645584 to 1645. He is acclaimed as the best swordsman in Japan. He was a fighter, artist, and craftsman all at once. He developed his own fighting style, which is still taught today as "Niten Ichiryu". Both short and long swords are used simultaneously. His founding of a school for tsuba (sword guard) production is unforgettable. Its most famous, very simple Tsuba consists of two oval rings.
