Description
Hanwei - Shashka, the long knife of the Cossacks
The Shashka originates from the mountain tribes of the Caucasus in the 12. and 13. century. These feared warriors sought their equals on horseback, and the shashka significantly contributed to their tactical successes.
In the Russian Empire, the shashka was the preferred weapon of the Cossacks. These strictly democratically organized warriors were the most sought-after mercenaries in Eastern Europe.
This replica by Hanwei (Paul Chen) features a spring steel blade that offers the same high flexibility as the original swords. Thanks to its agility and balance, this saber is perfect for quick parries and attacks. The blade is decorated with an etched engraving of the imperial coat of arms.
