Hanwei - Shaolin Jian with brass fittings

China's famous Shaolin Temple is known for its associations with Chinese martial arts, specifically Shaolin Kung Fu, which requires a deep immersion in the principles of Buddhism

Hanwei has now, with the permission of the Shaolin Temple, created a sword that combines the philosophical principles of Zen with the physical form of a Kung Fu Jian, thus representing the unity of martial arts and philosophy. This sword embodies the spirit of the Shaolin Temple as well as its martial arts traditions in a simple yet elegant design. The blade of the is forged from carbon steel, hardened, and polished. The detailed fittings feature lotus flower patterns as well as the brass Shaolin Temple logo. The scabbard and the handle are made of bamboo, illustrating the spirit of Zen.
