The Dönges GmbH und Co. KG is the leading system supplier for fire departments, rescue services, authorities, the Bundeswehr, and industry, located in the heart of German tool production, the Bergisches Land. The two neighboring companies Dönges and Böker have a decades-long collaboration. For the first time, the market leaders in their field have combined their entire expertise to jointly create a newly developed series of rescue knives for professional users. Dönges has contributed its experience as a leading outfitter, and Böker its over 150 years of experience in the development and manufacture of knives. The result is a differentiated product series for the four task areas of firefighting, rescue, law enforcement, and military. The model range is divided into three user levels: Basic, Professional, and Expert. Each of the total 8 rescue tools is tailored down to the last detail to the individual user and their specific requirements.

The Dönges Basic series is deliberately kept in a moderate and common pocket knife size. This way, the knife can be carried in everyday life and also handle general cutting tasks. In an emergency, it is always ready as a professional rescue tool in the unforeseen event of an emergency. The strong common features of all three models are the anodized handle scales made of aircraft aluminum 6061 with a grippy Dönges honeycomb structure, blades made of tough stainless steel 440A with a sharp half-wave and ball-bearing axes, glass breaker, belt cutter, and a reliable steel clip for Tip-Down R carry.

The tanto blade of the tactical variant is aimed at users in authorities and the military. It can be opened either by finger flipper or thumb pin. Handle and blade are consistently kept in all black.
