About the Forged By War® program

In the year 2013, Ryan Johnson from RMJ Tactical, designer of elite, military, and tactical tomahawks, approached CRKT® with the message that he had collaborated with a few combat veterans who had returned from war with varying degrees of post-traumatic stress (PTS)

To help them tackle their challenges, they have designed steel and forged it into custom tools. Drawing on their experience in combat situations, they have developed tools they wished they had available on the battlefield

CRKT® cares deeply about our returning veterans, and we've found a way to give back to the community they've created. In 2016, we launched the Forged By War® program

These are ready-to-use tools developed by veterans, with a portion of the proceeds donated to the veterans' charity organization
