Cold Steel - Tiger Claw S35VN

Cold Steels® Tiger Claw was created by knife maker Andrew Demko and is brimming with design innovations!

For the design of the blade, Andrew Demko drew from his extensive experience as an electrician and engineer: When he decided to handcraft his own multipurpose knife for work, he created a Karambit/Hawkbill hybrid knife that could cut ropes, cables, wires, and much more. This knife remained his faithful companion for years, and when Cold Steel® asked him to design his own version of a folding Karambit, this blade shape immediately came to mind.

The Tiger Claw replicates the blade design of Andrew's original knife, but is made from high-quality American steel*. It combines the tactical performance of the Filipino or Indonesian combat karambit with the utility and functionality of the hawkbill work knife.

With the Demko thumb disk, the Tiger Claw can be quickly drawn and opened ambidextrously from the pocket, either in the fencing grip or the traditional karambit grip (with the tip pointing down).

The Tiger Claw is characterized by Demko's typical minimalist style. It features an ultra-thin, CNC-machined handle made of G10, a black aluminum pommel ring, and Cold Steel®'s exclusive Tri-Ad® locking mechanism.

2020er model - The Tiger Claw with a blade made of S35VN steel replaces the discontinued predecessor model made of CTS® XHP (Item no. CST-22KF).

CPM S35VN steel
This is an extraordinary American super steel. CPM S35VN is not only extremely tough and durable, but it can also be sharpened to a razor-sharp edge and maintains this sharpness for a long time. With its uniform microstructure, this very fine-grained powder steel offers consistent, excellent properties: durable, reliable, highly corrosion-resistant, tough, and hard even with thinly ground edges. A good, versatile steel for high-quality knives and tools.
