Cold Steel - Pocket Knife SR1

Proudly, the SRK® (Survival Rescue Knife) has been one of the established flagship products in the Cold Steel® range for over 25 years. This fixed blade knife is very popular with the U.S. military and is still the standard knife for Navy SEALS in their combat swimmer training. It is therefore hardly surprising that custom knife maker Andrew Demko was inspired by the Cold Steel® SRK® when Cold Steel® commissioned him to develop a luxury-class tactical folding knife for military use.

The SR1 is characterized by Andrew's signature minimalist style. It features no unnecessary frills and impresses simply with its purely functional, straightforward, and purposeful design. The SR1 and the SR1 Tanto are designed for heavy-duty use. With their blades made from premium American CPM S35VN powdered steel, both are highly durable workhorses built to withstand the toughest, most relentless environments.

Since a good blade also requires a good handle, the handle scales of the SR1 are made from high-quality G10. The heat-treated steel liners are nested within the handle scales (so-called nested liners). The handle features an integrated lanyard hole, has a rough textured surface that provides optimal grip even in cold or wet conditions, and is masterfully contoured to ensure a comfortable, secure hold - even when you are wearing thick gloves.

For increased operational safety and worry-free use, Cold Steel's® Tri-Ad® locking mechanism ensures reliability. This lock, which is still unmatched in terms of impact and shock resistance and has repeatedly proven capable of withstanding the toughest tests, makes the SR1 the ideal survival and rescue knife.

CPM S35VN steel
This is an extraordinary American super steel. CPM S35VN is not only extremely tough and durable, but it can also be sharpened very well to a razor-sharp edge and maintains this sharpness for a long time. With its uniform microstructure, this very fine-grained powder steel offers consistent, good properties: durable, reliable, highly corrosion-resistant, tough, and hard even with thinly ground edges. A good, versatile steel for top-quality knives and tools.
