Cold Steel - Master Hunter San Mai 3 Hunting Knife

Both models feature a broad blade that has been flat ground to achieve the ideal cross-section and optimal blade geometry for hunting applications. Additionally, it has been sharpened to a razor edge, making cutting effortless. The drop point is ideal for skinning and field dressing game. The 5 mm thick spine provides the necessary strength and rigidity to field dress and skin even the largest animals.

The handle allows for prolonged, fatigue-free use. It is made from shock-resistant, highly tactile Kray-Ex™ and features a deeply grooved surface that will prevent any slipping, no matter how wet or bloody your hands may be. An additional advantage of this material is its durability: it will neither rot, shrink, crack, chip, nor mold and is completely impervious to the harshest weather conditions - while remaining comfortable even during extended use.

For optimal protection, a sturdy Secure-Ex® sheath, which is suitable for almost any belt, ensures that you can carry the knife effortlessly all day.

The VG-1 San Mai® is a professionally crafted stainless three-layer steel. A hard carbon steel is sandwiched between flexible low-carbon steel. This guarantees maximum edge retention with high resistance to lateral and impact stress. This steel is produced in Japan only in extremely small quantities and is used by Cold Steel® for the most exclusive and valuable fixed blades.
