Cold Steel®'s new MAA Messer, developed by Luke LaFontaine and Dave Baker, is a one-handed sword that you simply have to feel in your hand to truly appreciate its value! This modern interpretation of the German long Messer of yesteryear is perfectly balanced and a pure joy to use. It is thinner and lighter than many other models in the Cold Steel® range and can be wielded almost like a giant Bowie knife! Its clip-point blade is fully sharpened and ends with a robust, raised tip with an unsharpened back edge. The stylish and functional guard, knuckle bow, and pronounced, shell-shaped Nagel are blued, matching the blade visually and highlighting the rich brown of the Malaysian Sal wood handle scales.

1090 Carbon Steel
The carbon steel 1090 is an excellent choice for larger fixed blades. It sharpens easily and retains this sharpness, yet remains tough enough to withstand even the most brutal stress tests. In short: a good all-purpose carbon steel that remains very durable even under heavy use.
