In many ways, the knives of the Cold Steel® Hold Out series are ideal EDC knives (Every Day Carry) for daily use. They are surprisingly lightweight and easy to carry, yet they give you a reassuring sense of security that only high-performance pocket knives can provide.

The beautifully satin-finished blades made of S35VN steel are extremely functional. They are flat ground from the spine, with a narrow V-shaped cross-section and a razor-sharp, hand-honed cutting edge. They are continuously curved from the heel to the sharp tip, effortlessly gliding through tough and coarse material, and can easily handle everyday tasks and cutting jobs.

The handles made of G-10 are ergonomic marvels. They offer an incredibly secure grip and will neither rotate nor wobble in the palm during use. The traction-promoting G-10 material and the cutouts provide additional grip for a variety of holding techniques. Additionally, the positioning of the Tri-Ad® locking mechanism and the geometry of the blade and handle are perfectly matched. The result is a knife with a performance-to-weight ratio that has even astonished Cold Steel's® own research and development team.

The Hold Outs, available in two sizes, are incredibly thin and flat and equipped with a reversible pocket clip.

CPM S35VN steel
This is an extraordinary American super steel. CPM S35VN is not only extremely tough and durable, but it can also be sharpened to a razor-sharp edge and maintains this sharpness for a long time. With its uniform microstructure, this very fine-grained powder steel offers consistent, good properties: durable, reliable, highly corrosion-resistant, tough, and hard even with thinly ground edges. A good, versatile steel for top-quality knives and tools.
