Cold Steel - Dragonfly Wakizashi with Long Handle

In today's market, one usually finds only interpretations of the ancient originals from feudal Japan, which were designed for fighters of smaller stature (rarely larger than 1,70 m). As artfully crafted as they may be, these Japanese swords are not optimally suited for the modern warrior, who is significantly larger and stronger than his historical counterpart!
To address this imbalance, Cold Steel® has created the Dragonfly series, a collection of Japanese swords equipped with thicker, broader, and heavier blades. The handles of these beautiful swords feature a black ray skin insert (Samé) and a striking aquamarine silk cord wrap. The black metal guard and pommel are adorned with a dragonfly motif. The deeply curved, hand-polished blades made of 1060 carbon steel end in a long iris leaf-shaped tip for maximum cutting performance.
Two protective covers - a blue cotton transport bag and a richly decorated storage bag made of the finest, sturdy silk brocade - are included with each sword.
