Cold Steel - Double Safe Hunter Olive Green

If you are looking for an affordable yet powerful folding hunting knife, it's best to go straight for the Double Safe Hunter from Cold Steel®. The highly popular Voyager® from the 'old guard' served as a model for this. Its wide, approximately 9 cm long clip-point blade is made of 8Cr13MoV steel and has been hardened to a Rockwell hardness of 57-58 HRC. No matter what task lies ahead, you can be sure that you have the right knife at hand, as its blade is small enough to perform delicate tasks, yet large enough to skin both small and large game.

Its handle made of glass-filled nylon (GFN) with a steel pocket clip is thin and ergonomically comfortable - an absolute dream for extended use. It is available in three color variants: blaze orange (CS-23JB), OD green (CS-23JC), or with a distinctive camo pattern (CS-23JE).

Stainless Steel 8Cr13MoV
8Cr13MoV has similar properties to AUS 8A and is a proven steel that is excellent for making working knives. In Cold Steels® own tests, this high-carbon stainless steel has proven to be tough and corrosion-resistant. Like AUS 8A, it exhibits good edge retention and is also easy to resharpen.
