Cold Steel - Bushman Survival Outdoor Knife with Hollow Handle

In this price category, the survival knives of the Bushman collection are hard to beat! Unlike most hollow-handled knives, there is no joint or seam between the blade and handle that requires mechanical fasteners. Instead, the blades and handles of the Bushman knives are cold-forged from a single piece of SK-5 carbon steel! The knives are then expertly heat-treated and hardened to a Rockwell hardness of 54 HRC. In the Cold Steel® tests, the transition between blade and handle withstood a pressure of over two tons!

Each Bushman blade has been carefully ground thin and then hand-honed to a razor-sharp edge. The hollow handles provide space for survival tools and can be extended with various grip extensions to optimize reach or leverage, or to make the knife easier to throw.

They are available in two different blade designs (Standard and Bowie). In both versions, the blades are continuously curved, making them ideal for skinning and a variety of bushcraft tasks. Both variants also come with a Secure-Ex® sheath and a high-quality ferrocerium fire starter. Strike it with the back of your knife blade and start a crackling campfire in no time!

SK-5 carbon steel
