Casström - Woodsman Curly Birch

The "Woodsman" from the Swedish manufacturer Casström is a classic forest knife. The handle made of masur birch is straight and has rounded edges, making it suitable for a wide range of hand sizes. It is equipped with a leather strap, and black liners have been installed between the handle scales and steel to increase the lifespan of the knife.

The knife comes with a durable, frame-stitched sheath made of vegetable-tanned leather in cognac brown. The sheath features a belt loop, a drainage hole.

Steel information: Böhler K720 / O2 steel is an extremely robust, oil-hardened tool steel with a high carbon content. This steel is designed for strength and edge retention. Thanks to its chemical composition, it can be heat-treated at high temperatures without losing its ductility and toughness. The result is a blade that maintains high edge retention even under heavy use, while also staying sharper for longer and resistant to cracking. This steel also has a very fine structure and can therefore be sharpened razor-sharp without any problems.

Please note: If the blade is left wet or damp. can tarnish due to its low chromium content when stored. To prevent rust formation, it should always be wiped dry immediately after use, and for longer storage and non-use, it should be treated with a suitable protective oil or wax beforehand.
