The Buck 1121122 Ranger Sport is a lighter, one-handed version of the famous Buck 1121122 Lockback knife. The Ranger Sport swaps heavy wooden handles and brass bolsters for a lightweight aluminum frame with a Micarta inlay. The earlier versions of the 112 Ranger could only be opened with the help of nail nicks, while the Ranger Sport is opened with a thumb stud. The blade has been switched to S30V steel, a material known for its impressive wear resistance and corrosion resistance
