The Buck 104 Compadre Camp Knife is a very solid fixed blade knife. The blade is made of 5160 carbon steel. A very hard type of steel, but not stainless. For this reason, Buck has coated the blade with a matte black Cerakote coating. Prevents rust. The handle is made of Micarta. This is a composite material made of linen and synthetic resin.
