Böker - Tirpitz-Damast Wood 42
The years of huge interest in our extraordinary collector's knife Böker Tirpitz-Damast have convinced us to design another model with the historic damascus steel. The Böker Tirpitz-Damast Wood is constructed much flatter at around 10 millimeters thickness and appears significantly more elegant in its design due to the continuous scales made of domestic walnut wood. The matte wood of the contoured grip panels is milled three-dimensionally using CNC technology, the front proudly presents the coat of arms and the lettering of the Tirpitz
The sister ship of the legendary Bismarck was the largest battleship ever launched for the German Navy. Immediately after the end of World War II, a Norwegian specialized company began to salvage sunken ships off the Norwegian coast in order to provide high-alloy steel for civilian purposes
Norwegian divers have recovered parts of the special armor of the Tirpitz from the fjord for Böker. From these pieces of living history, the Böker Damascus smith exclusively forges an extraordinary damascus steel with a fascinating history. The pattern Big Pyramid in 300 layers distinguishes the powerful blade made of hand-forged Damascus steel and makes the knife a highlight of any knife collection
The combination of Tirpitz steel with carbon tool steels also results in an extremely durable damascus steel, which is capable of handling any task in everyday use with a Rockwell hardness of 663 to 63 HRC. The blade, equipped with a nail nick, is secured by a 1,5 millimeter thick liner lock. With clip (tip-up). The delivery comes in a high-quality transparent frame case with certificate and serial number
