Böker - Sports Knife Bergische Oak
The six-piece Böker sports knife has been handcrafted in our Solingen manufactory since 1869. The concept, often copied throughout history, combines numerous useful tools in a high-quality pocket knife. It has been in production longer than any other multi-function knife. And as long as Böker produces knives in Solingen, we will also produce this classic
The sports knife reveals itself at first glance by its distinctive shape. Even in the closed state, three typical elements of the practical model can already be recognized: The polished nickel silver cheeks front and back, the loop for attaching a snap hook for chain or strap, and the tapering of the handle back, i.e. in the area of the main blade pivot. The resulting gentle half-moon forms a perfect support for the thumb when holding the knife for cutting. The traditional design is perfectly pocket-friendly and offers clear practical benefits. To extend the instruments, you always need two hands, the blades are not lockable. Instead, the classic support springs keep the knife open
It is equipped with two blades, a can and bottle opener, an awl and reamer, as well as a corkscrew and a slotted screwdriver. Both blades are made of 4034 steel, the classic Solingen blade steel that combines corrosion resistance, edge retention, and easy sharpening. The cornerstone of our product range features polished nickel-silver cheeks and durable shells made of dark local oak wood. The wood of the Bergische Oak, which is smoked for use as a handle scale, gives the knife its incomparable character and also adds a touch of local color. Thanks to the practical lanyard loop, the knife can easily be attached to bags or other objects. Delivery includes a carrying case and security chain
