Description
Böker Magnum - Bokken White Oak Wakizashi
The Bokken, commonly referred to as Bokuto in Japan, is a wooden sword primarily used in Japanese martial arts such as Iaido, Aikido, Kenjutsu, or Kendo. Instead of using sharp swords like Katana or Wakizashi, the Bokken provides a much safer way to practice various forms of exercises. The Bokken's true-to-life size and weight allow for realistic execution of partner exercises as well as prescribed sequences of movement patterns (Kata). The medium Magnum Bokken made of unlacquered white oak corresponds to the dimensions of a Wakizashi short sword and is characterized by high durability. By treating with oil (e.g. the Böker camellia oil) gives the wood additional protection against dirt and moisture and increases grip compared to lacquered wood when hands are sweaty
