Böker - Dressing Stone Made of Silicon Carbide Grit 220

Dressing stone for flattening/dressing sharpening stones with cross grooves to collect abrasion. Both natural and synthetic sharpening stones become concave on the working surface over time during sharpening, creating an inward curvature. The dressing stone is used to create or maintain a flat/straight surface. As a second product application, the dressing stone can also be used to rub off sharpening slurry from an existing sharpening stone. When sharpening with sharpening slurry, so-called "rolling grain" is used. With sharpening slurry, sharpness can be achieved faster and finer with the same grit than with the bare sharpening stone surface. For which sharpening stones is the product suitable? Suitable for Japanese water stones of any grit as well as soft-bonded natural stones (e.g., Belgian Blue/Coticule). Not suitable for Arkansas stones, artificial ceramic stones, and diamond sharpening plates. Soak both the sharpening stone and the dressing stone with sufficient water. Rub the sharpening stone and the dressing stone against each other in circular motions until the desired result is achieved. Keep both stones wet throughout the entire process. Working surface dimensions: 180 x 60 mm. Height 25 mm.
