Böker - Black Amboina
Style is less a matter of elegance, but rather of character. The Böker Black Amboina proves in perfection that these features can be excellently combined. The expressive 6.8 inch straight razor is completely black and is equipped for the first time with a blued blade made of high-strength carbon steel. In this special process, the surface of the blade is transformed into a black oxide layer through treatment with acid, which is why it cannot be referred to as a coating in the traditional sense. The hollow ground blade receives a double-sided serration on the blade spine, emphasizing the exclusive character of the Böker Black Amboina. The balanced weight of the knife allows the blade to glide very smoothly and cleanly over the skin
The notebook made of exotic Amboina wood impresses with its strikingly scattered grain, which in parts resembles wild carbon fiber. This particular structure is owed to the knobby growths in the root area of the wood species originating from Southeast Asia, giving each knife its unique character. The striking black color and the pleasantly smooth surface of the notebook are achieved through the stabilization of the wood. In this special process, heated epoxy resin is pressed into the wood pores and then cured. The bulbous shape of the handle forms a successful contrast to the straight head of the blade, emphasizing the lines of the straight razor expressively
Discreet optical accents in the handle can be found as eye-catchers in the two rivets made of nickel silver as well as the silver Boker tree emblem. With authentic Böker stamp in the blade channel, certificate of authenticity, and elegant floating display. Handcrafted in the Böker Knife Manufactory Solingen
