Description
Battle Merchant - Slavic Early Medieval Helmet
-battle-ready-
Replica of a Slavic nasal helmet from the 9th. century. Helmets of this type were popular not only among the Slavic peoples, but also among the Rus and Varangians (eastern-oriented Vikings) and Khazars
The helmet is made of 2mm thick overlapping sheet metal plates and fully riveted. This design is extremely robust then as it is now. It is fully battle-ready. At the tip of the helmet, tufts of horsehair were attached in the Early Middle Ages. The cap has an opening for this. At the lower edge of the helmet, a total of five eyelets are attached, which make it easy to attach a chainmail aventail. Includes a high-quality and adjustable leather inlay with chin strap
