SPQR - Longsword Landesmuseum Zurich Reenactment SK-B
This beautiful two-handed sword is a replica of a late medieval longsword from the period around 1460450-1460, classified as Type XVa according to the Oakeshott typology and can be admired at the National Museum Zurich
"This replica features a hardened, to approx.". 49-51 HRC tempered spring steel blade tapering towards the tip and having a rhombic cross-section. It is forged all the way to the pommel and riveted at the end of the handle. The guard is made of steel and the wooden handle wrapped in leather ends with a generous fishtail pommel. The beautiful sword sheath is made of vegetable-tanned, dyed leather. The delivery includes a carrying strap with brass buckles.
With its blunt, 2 mm thick striking edges and rounded tip, this long sword is perfect for reenactment. Combat or sparring.
