SPQR - Gjermundbu Helmet Viking Spectacle Helmet with Chainmail
This portable Viking spectacle helmet with a peak and short nasal guard is a reconstruction of a helmet found in a burial mound on the Gjermundbu farm in the municipality of Ringerike, Norway. The Viking helmet is placed on the 9./10". 1 pc. dated, but its overall appearance and especially the band fittings or Clips and the Glasses showing its close relationship to the Nordic crest helmets of the Vendel era that preceded the Viking Age.
