The Hobbit - Glamdring, the Sword of Gandalf the Grey
Officially licensed movie replica from The Hobbit - An Unexpected Journey, by United Cutlery
In the Third Age of Middle-earth, the old, powerful wizard Gandalf and his fellowship of dwarves came upon a troll cave in Rhûdaur. There they found two old Elven blades and a knife. The exact history of these blades is uncertain, but when Master Elrond examined them in Rivendell, he determined that they were ancient, well-known Elven blades that had slain many Orcs during the First Age of Middle-earth.
The sword called Glamdring was once forged by the High Elves of the West in the hidden city of Gondolin. Glamdring was lost, only to be found thousands of years later by Gandalf and his companions. Gandalf claimed the sword for himself and carried it on the journey to Erebor. He wielded it in battle against the orcs and goblins of the Misty Mountains, and later on the journey of the Fellowship to Mordor to destroy the One Ring. This great sword remained by Gandalf's side until his last day in Middle-earth.
