United Cutlery - Shikoto Longquan Master Tanto
Own one of the most prestigious pieces of a samurai warrior's equipment when you purchase our Shikoto Lonquan Master Tanto. When you hold a Shikoto hammer-forged Longquan Master sword in your hand, you are holding the same weapon that a warrior used over 2.500 years ago. Using methods employed by Bronze Age swordsmiths, the Tanto features a 32 cm long blade made of T10 high carbon steel, hammer-forged and clay-hardened to produce a visible Hamon line. The differential hardening gives the magnificent blade a harder edge and a softer back, which is the hallmark of a high-quality weapon. The katana tsuba and the handle fittings are made of solid iron, and the wooden handle has a traditional cord wrapping made of genuine, tea-dyed ray skin. A black lacquered and polished wooden scabbard with cord wrapping houses the blade. The Shikoto Longquan Master Tanto comes with an authenticity certificate containing forging specifications, signed by the master swordsmith
