Böker Plus - Cataclyst Flipjoint -> Böker Plus - Cataclyst Flipjoint
The Böker Plus Cataclyst Flipjoint impresses as a combination of a modern EDC and a high-quality gentleman's accessory, also excelling as a slipjoint knife all around. The blade in this version also opens playfully easily via flipper, but does not lock in the open position, but is only securely held in place by a detent ball. When sufficient pressure is applied to the back of the blade, the blade can be folded in without releasing a locking mechanism
To avoid any doubts when handling the Cataclyst Flipjoint, we have explicitly obtained a determination of the weapon classification for a knife with a ball-bearing blade holder. The BKA (determination Z-524) confirms our view that the blade holder, with the help of the detent ball, does not constitute a locking device within the meaning of the Arms Act: "The ball detent mechanism installed here on the blade, which disengages with just a light pressure on the spine of the blade, does not meet the criteria of a manual locking device."
The stable blade made of satin-finished 440C steel is equipped with a flat grind and a double-sided hollow grind. The grooves on the thumb rest area and on the spacer also increase workplace safety. The straight-line construction is equipped with textured black G110 handle scales, which are milled three-dimensionally and feature weight-reducing cutouts on the inside. With deep-carry clip (tip-up/r) and lanyard hole
