Böker Plus - Cataclyst Flipjoint Damast
As a combination of a modern EDC and a high-quality gentleman's knife, the Böker Plus Cataclyst also impresses in the Damascus version with 110 layers across the board. The stable blade opens ball-bearing mounted via flipper and is equipped with a flat grind and a double-sided hollow grind. It is kept open by the well-thought-out flipjoint mechanism and does not lock, but is simply held securely in position by a detent ball. When sufficient pressure is applied to the back of the blade, the blade can be folded in without releasing a locking mechanism
To avoid any doubts when handling the Cataclyst Brown Damascus Flipjoint, we have explicitly obtained a determination of the weapon classification for a knife with a ball-bearing blade lock. The BKA (determination Z-524) confirms our view that the blade holder, with the help of the detent ball, does not constitute a locking device within the meaning of the Arms Act: "The ball detent mechanism installed here on the blade, which disengages with just a light pressure on the spine of the blade, does not meet the criteria of a manual locking device."
Grooves on the thumb rest area and on the backspacer increase work safety additionally.
