Description
Böker Magnum - Akito Wakizashi
Purity, diligence, and humility were among the fundamental characteristics of the venerable samurai. In homage to the glorious warriors of feudal Japan, Böker presents the Magnum Akito Wakizashi. The shortsword was once only allowed to be carried by respected individuals in society and especially excelled in close-quarters combat compared to the katana. Many loving details adorn the functional sword and bring the spirit of the samurai closer. The blade, made of non-stainless carbon steel, features a traditional Bo-Hi (fuller), while the wooden handle is adorned with a lovingly decorated Tsuba (guard), Menuki (decorative elements beneath the handle wrap), and a black Tsuka-Ito (handle wrap). The black lacquered wooden Saya (scabbard) is equipped with a typical Sageo cord for attaching to the belt. Thanks to the dulled blade, Tameshigiri (cutting tests) can be practiced, allowing for the refinement of sword handling skills
